Clockhouse Weekly Wow

Here is last week's Weekly Wow and as usual there were a lot of things to 'wow' about last week.

Time to CELEBRATE - Value Champion Alert!

We are very excited and pleased to share with you that we have more Clockhouse Value Champions of 2023-2024!

A huge congratulations to

Poppy J (Japan)

who has earned the Learning Champion Award for 2023-2024!

For her excellent effort in her learning in all subjects. She has started Year 5 with a positive attitude towards her learning and has been working hard. I have been particularly impressed with her attitude towards her maths learning.

Avani C (Japan)

who has earned the Nurture Champion Award for 2023-2024!

Avani has a lovely, kind and caring nurture. She is always supporting others in their learning and always is encouraging them to be the best they can be. This is such a lovely attribute to have and it has been great to hear within the classroom.

A huge well done from everyone at Clockhouse - wear your Values Champion Badge with pride!

Do not forget that on Wednesday and Thursday of this week it is Parents' Evening after school (Tuesday and Wednesday for South Africa). Teachers have been busy making appointments for everyone, so if, as yet, you do not have an appointment please contact your child's class teacher on Monday to make arrangements for a meeting. As you know, we are offering a blended approach, so if you have not done so already, please do tell the teachers if you want a Zoom or face to face meeting.

The termly questionnaire for parents / carers came out via Class Dojo during the holiday and can be accessed using the link below

As always we thank you for your feedback. We do appreciate that this takes time but your feedback is invaluable to us as we continually strive to improve the educational experience we provide for the children and families we serve.

Please do allow your children to be part of the meeting so that they also know how they are doing and what they need to work on. The importance of the co-education of your child cannot be overstated.

Brilliant time for Year 3 at Barleylands

The Year 3 children had a brilliant time when they visited Barleylands.

They enjoyed learning about the different animals and how food gets from the field to the the fork supporting their learning about Stone Age to Iron Age.

Their behaviour was fantastic and they did us all proud! What fabulous Clockhouse Citizens they are!

Who can find the Gruffalo? Year 1 can!

Year 1 had a great time during their trip to Thorndon Country Park as part of their 'Woodland Life' theme.

The children thoroughly enjoyed the woodland experience but also had a great time hunting for the Gruffalo and all his friends. They were delighted when they found him.

They were fabulous Clockhouse Citizens also - well done Year 1!
