Hot Chocolate with the Head

As we all know, Hot Chocolate with the Head is an important part of Clockhouse. Obviously due to the current situation we find ourselves in, sadly it is still not possible for us to come together to celebrate which is such a shame. However, we do not want the children to miss out and therefore the chosen children will get a special Hot Chocolate pack to enjoy at home!

As you all know we are constantly striving to improve Clockhouse for your children.

This year we are all 'Making the Ordinary Extraordinary' to ensure our school is a fabulous place to be and the children the best all round experience possible. Each week, the Heads of Year as well as Miss Ward, Mrs Reinecke and Mrs Savidge choose a person (child or adult) who has been seen to do this! We hope all the children enjoy their hot chocolate pack - send us a picture of you enjoying your special celebration drink!

This week the following Clockhouse Citizens have been seen to be 'Making the Ordinary Extraordinary':

Nursery - Samiha W for very good attendance this week.  Keep it up!
Reception - David A (Scotland) for trying so very hard with his reading and writing.
Year 1 - Riley L (Italy) for always being such a super friend to others in the playground.
Year 2 - Tessa B (Canada) for her dedication and excellence when practising and performing our song to share at Church this week as part of our learning in RE.
Year 3 - Murtaza E (Peru) for trying really hard in class and using the homework tasks to improve his learning.
Year 4 - Bogdan B (South Africa) for writing an excellent persuasive brochure in English and applying all his learning from the previous weeks.
Year 5 - Blu W (India) for trying her hardest in all areas of her learning, and showing a mature attitude to everything she does.
Year 6 - Swaley R (Australia) for his amazing positive attitude and effort towards his learning every day and for doing extra work at home as well.
Miss Ward - Freddie T (Mexico) for amazing topic work particularly in R.E.
Mrs Reinecke - Tahsin S (China) for an extraordinary achievement with his times table.
Mrs Savidge - Logan W (USA) for being a fabulously kind and caring member of the Clockhouse team.

Well done to all these children and all the other children who have been seen to be 'Making the Ordinary Extraordinary' this week!

Our treats are ready to go and we are looking forward to Hot Chocolate Friday next week to celebrate with more fantastic Clockhouse people!

Time to CELEBRATE - Value Champion Alert!

We are very excited and pleased to share with you that we have our next Clockhouse Value Champion!

A huge congratulations to

Lois M (Brazil)
who has earned the Nurture Champion Award for 2021-2022!

Lois is incredibly kind and caring towards everyone in the class, her classmates and teachers, at all times of the day and has been throughout the entire year so far. She is always the first one to volunteer to help me do anything and will always ask me if she can help all of the other children in the class - many times doing so by herself as soon as she sees ones of her classmates finding something challenging. Lois will always help children who have hurt themselves or are feeling unwell and you can tell that she is just such a giving person who will put other people before herself. She is truly deserving of a Nurture award.

Joey M (Italy)
who has earned the Excitement Champion Award for 2021-2022!

This boy has really come out of his shell this term and found a new love for learning. He has started to become very enthusiastic with his learning and is really enjoying coming to school. His positive attitude towards school makes all of the other children excited for all of their lessons each day. He has found a new love for reading and phonics and always shares this excitement with the class. I am so proud of how far this boy has come, he has made so much progress and he should be really proud of himself too.

Lily-Ann N (Italy)
who has earned the Excellent Champion Award for 2021-2022!

There are so many lovely things I can say about Lily. They are polite, kind and always striving to be the best they can be. They have been setting themselves extra goals at home and completing extra homework each week to better themselves. They are always offering support to not only her friends, but to everyone and she is a positive role model to other people. She has been working so hard in school to achieve excellence and we are all so proud of how far she has come.

A huge well done from everyone at Clockhouse - wear your Values Champion Badge with pride!

Well, it is almost impossible to believe that we are in the final week of the Spring term. What another strange but successful term is has been! There will be an Easter Egg placed at a set distance away from the children and all the children need to do is line up their coins edge to edge in a line. The closest line to the egg wins! The prize is the Easter Egg. Coins should brought in in a clearly marked plastic bag. OCA provide a great support to the school so please do help them help us, help your children by getting involved. Thank you in advance and good luck everyone!
