Gymnasts impress at competition!

Clockhouse gymnasts had an excellent weekend representing the school at Jaybee’s Gymnastics school competition.

The school had a very successful day with all children competing in two events floor and vault. All the children stepped on to the floor and put on their best routine aa well as impressing on the vault! Before the medals were awarded, the children were treated to a brilliant display from the advanced Acro children who attend Jaybee’s club. The children enjoyed themselves and loved the experience.

The rounds finished off with the medal presentation. The children waited with great excitement and nerves to see the top 6 gymnasts in their category:

1st place -
Olivia - New Zealand
Hayley - China
Jessica - Peru
Cruz - Australia

2nd place -
Kristina - Fiji

Success then followed for Clockhouse as the children won the novice award for the highest scoring school in Years 3-6! What a excellent achievement for the gymnasts and the school! Well done to all.

Miss Macdonald said “I am incredibly proud of all children who took part as gymnastics is a sport which I love. It was amazing to see the children compete at such a high standard! The children worked so hard on preparing for the competition with myself and Mrs Ewenson (Head of Jaybee’s Gymnastics). We both watched and were amazed with how well all the children did. Well done to all gymnasts keep up the hard work.”
