Year 3 visit Layer Marney Tower

Year 3 had a great time when they went to visit Layer Marney Tower. They got to look around this historic building as well as learn lots to support their learning all about The Greeks. They were certainly eager to tell us all about it when they returned to school.

Along with this, they were also great Clockhouse Citizens and behaved impeccably.

Well done Year 3.  

Weekly reminders for week beginning 13th May 2024

We hope everyone enjoyed the slightly shorter week at school last week. 

It is a quieter week at Clockhouse which is important as it is a very important week for our wonderful Year 6 children and staff.

Year 6

A huge good luck from us all to all the Year 6 children who will be sitting their SATs tests this week. They could not have worked harder and we know they will try their very best. Get lots of rest and please ensure that all the children are in school promptly so that they can be settled before starting.  Remember your Breakfast of Champions will be served at 8.15am Monday to Thursday, don't miss out!

Special Dinner for all

On Thursday we have another special dinner day. It would be really good to get as many people as possible having dinner on Thursday as this determines some of our schools funding. We really do appreciate your help in this matter.

Things to be aware of

On 22nd, 23rd and 24th May we will have a Skateboarding extravangaza in school for children from Year 1 to Year 6. This is a wonderful wow experience for our children and is part of the work we will be doing to get the children interested in the Olympics, more information to follow.

The Dojo League

The Dojo League!

The Dojo League has continued this week - well done everyone for helping your class and for being fabulous Clockhouse Citizens!

The dojo scores have been analysed and the results are in!

Reception and Key Stage 1:

A big well done to Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Italy, Spain, Mexico, USA and Canada who lead the Reception and Key Stage 1 Dojo League and France in second place.

Key Stage 2:Key Stage 2:

A big well done to Brazil, Uganda, South Africa, China, Japan, India, Fiji and Australia who are all in the overall lead of the Key Stage 2 league with Argentina, Peru, Kenya and Greenland in second place with New Zealand in third place.

Well done to everyone for really trying to earn Dojos for their class!

Peru - 98.8%

Australia - 97.5%

A huge well done to all classes above. An extra well done to Peru who win for the second week in a row.

Only 7 classes were in the Green Zone this week with an attendance above 96% - well done to those classes. 

A further well done to Nursery AM and PM, Spain, USA, Brazil, Peru, South Africa, Uganda, India and Australia who had no lates this week.

Whole school attendance for the year currently stands at:

94.6%

Well done everyone and thank you all for your continued support in ensuring that the

Weekly reminders for the week beginning 6th May 2024

We hope you are all enjoying the Bank Holiday and having a longer weekend. We look forward to seeing you back at school tomorrow (Tuesday). Whilst we gear up for the Year 6 SATs we have another quiet week at Clockhouse. 

Reception

We look forward to welcoming our Reception parents for Learn with my Child on Wednesday and Thursday (please check with teachers if you are not sure which day you are due to come). As with the other year groups, regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.

Year 3

Year 3 are off to Layer Marney Tower on Thursday, please ensure permission slips are returned on Tuesday if you have not done so already.

Mini Marathon

As you will have hopefully seen from Dojo, the children will be taking part in the Clockhouse Mini Marathin this week. This is part of the bigger London Mini Marathon. This will all be done in school with us so you do not need to do anything.

Things to be aware of

Please do not forget that the OCA Summer Fete on 6th July - date for your diary. 

Keep an eye out for something very important we will be celebrating later in the term - watch this space.

Towards the end of this term we have a fabulous Wow experience for our children, again, watch this space!
