Weekly reminders week beginning 20th October 2014

Thank you to all those people who sent in food for the Harvest Festival, the Food Bank were most grateful for the contributions we were able to give.

Reception
We look forward to welcoming our Reception parents to school this week for the 'Meet the Teacher' meetings. Please come and join us to find out about learning in Reception and how to help your child. All meetings are at 2.50pm. Dates are as follows:
Monday 20th October - RCO
Tuesday 21st October - RLS
Wednesday 22nd October - RAF

Year 1
Year 1 parents / carers are invited to stay at school after Ready, Steady Read on Thursday to join the children in their phonics session. We envisage that this will be finished by 9.30am.

Year 2
On Thursday also, Year 2 will be busy making pizza, parents are invited into school to taste their creations at 2.45pm. Please come and join us.

Year 6
Explore Learning are coming in to work with Year 6 on Thursday. This is a good opportunity for the children to further develop Literacy and Maths skills.

Key Stage 2 welcome Pablo Picasso to school on Thursday, he will be particularly working with Year 3 to develop their artistic skills and complete their learning about Pictures, Paintings and Photographs.

Fancy Dress Disco
The PA have their first disco on Thursday. This is a fancy dress theme. Please take your children to the Key Stage 2 hall and pick them up from here after.
Year 1, 2 and 3: 4pm-5.30pm
Year 4, 5 and 6: 6pm - 7.30pm

Year 1 to Year 6
Please remember to send back the consent slips for the trips to the Collier Row library that begin after half term.

Please do not forget that Friday 24th October is a staff training day and therefore the school will be closed to children.

As always we thank you for your continued support in all we do and we wish you a happy half term from us all when it gets here. We look forward to welcoming the Clockhouse Community back on Monday 3rd November.
