Weekly reminders for week beginning 31st October 2016

Welcome back to the new half term everyone!

On behalf of us all a big thank you to the PA for arranging a very successful Fancy Dress Disco at the end of the term. The costumes were amazing and everyone certainly seemed to enjoy themselves. The children's behaviour was good - well done everyone and thank you for your support.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school tomorrow (Monday 31st October) and hope that you all had a lovely holiday!

Best of British Week
This week we will be celebrating Britain and the British Culture as per the letter that came out prior to the holidays. We are really looking forward to the street party on Friday 11th November as part of this.

Year 5 - Japan
Please remember that the children in Japan start swimming again in Monday of this week.

Nursery
The Local Authority will be holding a brief session for parents who need to apply for a place for their child for Reception next year. Please remember that even though your child has a place in the Nursery you still need to go through the Local Authority to get a place in Reception. The meeting will be at 9am on Tuesday (1st November) in the Key Stage 2 hall.

Year 4
Year 4 are off to the Saffron Walden Museum on Friday. Please ensure that money and consent forms are sent in by Tuesday if you have not done so alreaady.

Parents Evening
Do not forget that on Wednesday and Thursday of this week it is Parents Evening after school. Teachers have been busy making appointments for everyone, so if, as yet, you do not have an appointment please contact your child's class teacher on Monday to make arrangements for a meeting. There will be a questionnaire for parents to complete whilst you are waiting. We do appreciate that this takes time but your feedback is invaluable to us as we continually strive to improve the educational experience we provide for the children and families we serve.

Sport
Good luck to the Tag Rugby team who play Towers Junior at home on Tuesday as well as taking part in a Borough competition on Thursday.
