Fabulous Football from Year 5 and 6

On a particularly frosty afternoon, our Year 5 and 6 boys and girls traveled to Harrow lodge Primary School for the first phase of the Havering league.

The boys and girls played fixtures simultaneously against the same schools! Our first opponents were Newtons where the boys won 1-0 thanks to a late winner from Joey! The girls lost a very close game 0-2 where it could have gone either way!

Next up was RJ Mitchell who came away with a 0-1 win with a heartbreaking last minute winner. At the same time the girls had a very tough game loosing 0-5, but were even more determined to turn it around in the following game.

In our 3rd game against Squirrels Heath both teams shone! The boys winning 1-0 with another late goal this time from Reean! The girls finally got what they deserved with an outstanding 3-0 win, with goals from Penny and 2 from Amelia!

In our final match we played St Patrick's. The boys defended heroically and secured a creditable 0-0 draw, whilst the girls lost a very narrow game 0-1.

News then broke that the boys had won today's group therefore qualify for the next phase of the league!

Both teams played fantasticallywell in very cold and tricky conditions and both Mr Koten and Mr Terry spoke of how proud they both were of the Boys and girls, not to mention their outstanding sportsmanship.

WELL DONE CLOCKHOUSE!!!
