Weekly reminders for week beginning 23rd May 2016

Firstly thank you for your overwhelming support during last week's Ofsted Inspection, it really was appreciated by us all. We will share the report with you as soon as we are in a position to.

Well done to Year 2 for working extra hard last week with their tests. We were all extremely proud of you all.

Thank you to the Parents and families who joined us on Monday for the celebration assemblies of Japan and Italy, we are sure you will agree they were a lovely occasion and we look forward to seeing more of you at these events during the term.

After a very hectic week last week, we hope you are ready for another busy week starting tomorrow.

Year 6
Parents / Carers of those children going to Bournemouth, please do not forget to send the paperwork back to school ASAP. Do not forget also that if you need to give staff medication for the trip, they will be available after school on Wednesday in New Zealand (Miss Kearns Classroom).

Science Week
This week sees the start of something new at Clockhouse with out very own Science Week. The children will all be enjoying lots of Science related work this week and celebrating their achievements with one another on Wednesday afternoon with out very own Science Fair.

China and Spain
China and Spain continue this years round of Celebration Assemblies on Monday, we look forward to seeing many of you there to celebrate all the learning that they have done so far this year. Both assemblies promise to be a wonderful occasion if the efforts that the children have put into practising are anything to go by. 
China- 9am (Key Stage 2 Hall)
Spain - 2.45pm (Key Stage 1 Hall)

Nursery and Reception
We look forward to welcoming families of Nursery and Reception children to school this week for Minibeast Biscuit Making. Please speak to the EYFS staff if you are unsure of which day to come in.

Sport
Good luck to the boys cricket team who have a competition on Tuesday (following its postponement from last week), the netball team who play Parklands (away) on Monday and St. Peters (South Weald) at home on Wednesday and the girls cricket team who play in a borough competition on Thursday.

Friday - Inset Day
Please remember that school is closed to pupils on Friday as it is a staff training day when the staff will be training in different approaches to behaviour management.

Finally from all of us at Clockhouse, we hope that you have a fantastic half term when it arrives on Thursday. We look forward to welcoming the children back on Monday 6th June.
