Weekly reminders for week beginning 11th June 2018

Welcome back to the Year 6 children who went to Bournemouth. Hopefully you have had lots of sleep and ready for the week ahead!

Thank you to the Parents and families who joined us on the Monday last week for the celebration assemblies of China and France we are sure you will agree they were a lovely occasion and we look forward to seeing more of you at these events during the term.

Amazing Attendance and Perfect Punctuality
This week is our termly focus Attendance Week. Please make every effort to ensure that your child is in school everyday and on time! We really do need to work together to improve the children's attendance across the school. Together we CAN DO IT!

Enterprise Event
This week we once again embark on what has now become one of our Clockhouse Traditions, it is ENTERPRISE WEEK! The children will be busy creating there enterprise ideas and all those budding entrepreneurs out there will be marketing their products during the week. Enterprise Day will be Thursday 14th June. Please do not forget to send the children in with a little bit of money to make their purchases.

Japan and Italy
India and France continue this years round of Celebration Assemblies on Monday, we look forward to seeing many of you there to celebrate all the learning that they have done so far this year. Both assemblies promise to be a wonderful occasion if the efforts that the children have put into practising are anything to go by.

Japan - 9.05am (Key Stage 2 Hall)
Italy - 2.50pm (Key Stage 1 Hall)

Year 6
Year 6 will be visited by Miles the Mole on Wednesday afternoon. This is a workshop all about air pollution and how as a society we can do things to reduce this and improve the quality of the air they breath. Last year this was very interesting and worth while.

Year 5 and 6
The local Police will be in school once again on Friday afternoon to talk to Year 5 and 6 about online safety. Please do take the time to talk to your children about this important aspect of their safety

World Cup Day
To celebrate the World Cup 2018, we will be holding our very own World Cup Day on Friday 15th June. On this day, for a small donation, which will go towards school fund and the enrichment activities we provide for the children, the children are invited to come to school in sports clothes or football kits. Please ensure this is in a labelled envelope so does not get confused with Father's Day Sale money (see below).

Father's Day Sale
Following the success of the Mother's Day sale earlier in the year, the PA will be holding our first Father's Day sale on Friday during school time. If you wish for your child to purchase a small gift please send them to school with a small amount of money (50p - £3.00) so that they can purchase a gift. Please ensure this is in a labelled envelope so does not get confused with World Cup Day money.

Sport
Good luck to the Girls Cricket Team who has a competition on Wednesday.

Thank you to the parents and families for ensuring that the children are transported to the different venues.
