A year ago, the school embarked on a journey to improve the teaching and learning of science within the school. As part of this journey we reapplied for the Primary Science Quality Mark after achieving the Gilt Award in 2018.
We are delighted to announce we went one better than last time and have been awarded the prestigious Outreach Primary Science Quality Mark. This is the highest possible award!
Our reviewers said - 'It has been a pleasure to read about all the good practice and
enrichment activities at Clockhouse and beyond... This school is demonstrating outreach – particularly
noting the difference made to a local school. The reflection notes that
increasing numbers of staff are involved in the outreach and that the
activity of supporting others is not solely the role of one individual. A
learning culture clearly exists and there is enthusiasm and strategic
value for science... Celebrate and enjoy the achievement of PSQM Outreach.
