A huge congratulations to
Blake B (Mexico)
who has earned the Nurture Champion Award for 2022-2023!
Whilst representing Clockhouse at the football festival, Blake was scouted for Chelsea along with another child. Sadly, the third boy who was not picked was extremely upset by this. He had already told his mum at the beginning he was going to try really hard and do his best so he could get chosen to train for one of the clubs. When he did not get the letter at the end he was so upset. Blake went up to him and was so comforting and told his team mate how amazingly he played and he should be proud of himself. I just feel this was such a mature and caring thing to do to reassure a friend. Well done Blake!
Mikhaeel U (USA)
who has earned the Community Champion Award for 2022-2023!
Mikhaeel is an active member of his local mosque community. He takes the teachings of Islam very seriously and this shines through at school in the way he behaves and the way he treats other pupils and members of staff. He is always kind, respectful and polite to everyone and always tries his best to make good choices throughout the day. He is also a fantastic asset to our class community at all times, but especially during our RE lessons when he proudly shares his knowledge and experiences, really bringing what we are learning about to life! I was especially proud of him when he stepped out of his comfort zone and recited a Dua prayer in Arabic for us! Well done Mikhaeel, you are fabulous!
Yusuf A (USA)
who has earned the Community Champion Award for 2022-2023!
Yusuf is a proud member of his mosque community who gladly shares his knowledge and experiences with us during RE. He speaks so confidently and with such clear understanding about what he learns in the mosque and how this impacts his everyday life. He has helped us to understand many of the 99 names of Allah and even translated some Arabic for us! He is a much valued member of our class community, always putting what he learns in the mosque into practise by being kind, helpful and respectful at all times. Well done Yusuf, you are a star!
Rocco D (Uganda)
who has earned the Learning Champion Award for 2022-2023!
Rocco always tries hard with his learning even when he is finding work challenging he never gives up. He has come into Year 4 with a positive mindset and is always thriving to learn more and does not let any setbacks get in his way. I have already seen such an improvement in the work he is doing in class and in his home learning.
