Day 6 of the Clockhouse Family

Good evening Clockhouse

Well let me start by saying WOW and a huge THANK YOU for the overwhelmingly positive feedback you sent to the Romford Recorder. We had no idea that this was going to happen and it was so lovely. It has given us all a real boost but I must emphasise it is a total team effort. We are so lucky at Clockhouse to have such a dedicated and excellent staff team but we are just doing our job. As a school, it is our aim to do as much as we can to ensure this difficult time is as easy as possible for you all but we would not be as successful as we are without you all doing your bit so thank you too.

I hope you found the virtual newsletter sent this moning helpful.

We are very aware that this is a difficult time for everyone. We are aware that this is a difficult time for the children. They have had to adapt so quickly and learning from your teacher virtually is so tricky when you are used to having them by you side. We know that they miss their friends, they miss playing in the playground, they miss their teachers but they are all doing such a good job! Keep going children, keep amazing the big people at home and at school and we will be back together as soon as possible, I promise! Children are surprisingly resilient but things are so different for them. If they need us we are there for them of course. To mix it up a bit and give a little fun to each week, later today we will be launching 'Feel-good Friday Fashions' to give the children something to look forward to whilst learning on a Friday (this will be for children at home and for Team Hawaii). Watch this space!

Team Hawaii have been back in school today. The Year 1 and 2 bubble spent some time planting some bulbs in the planters at the front of the school to make in look lovely and bright for the Spring. We cannot wait to see them grow!

Look out for the challenge from Mr Yarrow - 'Socks for Clocks' coming tomorrow and information coming out about 'Feel-good Friday Fashions' later today.

Keep going team Clockhouse, we are so proud of each and every one of you and could not do it without you all (big people and little people alike). Happy Tuesday all and we look forward to 'seeing' you all tomorrow!

Please look after yourselves, follow the rules and stay safe, only by doing this and working together will we get through this.

The below picture is so true of you all!

Kind regards
Mrs Savidge
