Day 14 of the Clockhouse Family

Good evening Clockhouse

I hope you all continue to be well and are getting some enjoyment from the holiday. With the Easter weekend just around the corner, I think we all acknowledge that it is going to be a bit different, but I hope you all enjoy lots of chocolate and make the best of this difficult situation and get to spend time together. I am so proud of you all for following the government guidelines, staying in and looking after yourselves and each other so that this can end sooner rather than later. Keep going Team Clockhouse!

It was lovely to see you completing the Scavenger Hunt yesterday as well as your Easter Egg designs today. Please keep them coming, we do love hearing from you and reminds us that we are still all together, just from a distance. Have a look at all the lovely photos from this week below!

'Team Th2' have been working with the children and supporting the community today. Mrs Hoyle has worked with Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 and Miss Maan with Year 3, 4, 5 and 6. They have been supported by Mrs Brind. Mr Koten has been in the office as well as supporting in class and we also had Mr Ron and Mr Gary with us as well as Miss Fisher and Mrs Johns. They have been busy setting up provision for the children who are in school next week, I have also been in school today. The children enjoyed their early morning workout as well as drawing some pictures to go in the notice board at the front of the school. Do have a look if you are passing. They ended the day with a special treat of ice cream by visiting our very own ice-cream parlour!

Please be aware that whilst we offered provision for both bank holidays, our front line and key workers do not need it and therefore the school will be closed from this evening (9th April) until Tuesday (14th April). I will still be sending home the daily challenges on Friday and Monday to keep you busy should you wish to take part a long with other bits you may find useful. I will also be doing hot chocolate with the head at 2.30pm tomorrow. Hot chocolates at the ready! This will be the last update this week. There will be the normally weekly reminders on Monday and I will return on Tuesday with your evening update, but please be assured you can still contact us via the normal routes, should you need to.

On Tuesday another home learning sheet will be sent out, so keep an eye out for this!

Please keep using #ourclockhousefamily with things that you are posting as a further way of keeping in touch. We might not be seeing each other every day but we are still one community who care for each other!

All that leaves me to say is, thank you for your continued support and kind words at what is such a difficult time for us all and from all at Clockhouse Primary School, we wish you all a very happy Easter a weekend whatever you are doing from the comforts of your own home.

Don't forget to clap tonight!

Our community - Our school - A family and a home for everyone!
Stay safe and keep smiling

Mrs Savidge
