Day 27 of the Clockhouse Family

Good evening Clockhouse

I hope you have had a good day despite the weather which just makes it that little bit harder!

Thank you for your lovely comments in response to my weekly video message this morning. They really are heart-warming to read and I know I speak on behalf of all the staff when I say how grateful we are for your kind words. We are used to being with you and getting your feedback, but these messages keep us motivated to keep going under such tricky circumstances.

A number of parents have asked about using Zoom or something similar to keep in contact. Unfortunately, due to our Safeguarding procedures, this is not possible. I am sure you can understand that even during such strange times, safeguarding is still of paramount importance.

Thank you to everyone who has sent in work and photos. The staff continue to work hard to keep up with you and answer your questions and queries. We really are so lucky to have such a committed staff team, I am sure you will join me in thanking them. Keep the photos and work coming.

Well done to all of those who have sent the video for the toilet roll challenge - please keep them coming. You have until the end of Thursday to get your videos in. Well done also to all those who have stepped up to the challenge of the day and who have already committed to doing the 'Reach 1000' Challenge and raising money for this much needed cause at present. Please follow this link below if you have not seen this already:

In school, the children have been busy, they completed their Google Classroom learning and despite the weather have enjoyed some dancing, making healthy doughnuts and quilling. 'Team T1' have been working with the children and supporting the community. Mrs Curry has worked with Nursery, Reception and Year 1. Mrs Overton with Year 2, 3 and 4 and Miss Watkins with Year 5 and 6. They have been supported by Mrs Caruana and Mrs O'Connor. Mr Koten has been in the office and we also had Mr Gary with us. I have also been in school.

Thursday
Year 3 do not forget that it is your Greek Day - costumes at the ready. Get the family involved if you can!

Friday
I will be hosting our first virtual Achievement Assembly at 9.10am.

Look out for an art lesson with Mrs Reinecke coming your way soon!

Please keep using #ourclockhousefamily with things that we are posting as a further way of keeping in touch. We might not be seeing each other every day but we are still one community who care for each other!

Our community - Our school - A family and a home for everyone!
Stay safe and keep smiling
Mrs Savidge
