Day 26 of the Clockhouse Family

Good evening Clockhouse

I hope you have all had a good weekend and made the most of the good weather with your daily exercise. When I got up this morning, I so wished it was just a normal Monday morning but here we are again. You are all doing a marvelous job under the circumstances and if we keep going we will be back together soon as Boris Johnson told us this morning. We are very aware that some of you are having a difficult time at the moment for a variety of reasons. We are all thinking of you and are here if you need us.

It has been a busy day on Dojo and Google Classroom, please do keep in contact with pictures, messages, learning etc. We do so love seeing the children and keeping connected with you all. It gives us some sense of normality when nothing is really normal. As last week, we will post a selection of pictures at the end of the week.

I have already received some videos for the toilet roll challenge - well done everyone, it is going to look great. If you have not seen it yet, look at the challenge of the day and get your videos to us by Thursday!

In school, the children have been busy, they particularly enjoyed some PE, Science and Computing activities as well as doing their Google Classroom work. 'Team M2' have been working with the children and supporting the community. Mrs Hurford has worked with Nursery, Reception and Year 1, Mrs Jarvis with Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4 and Mr Pye with Year 5 and 6. They have been supported by Mrs Joyner and Miss Hill. Mrs Ayling has been in the office and we also had Mr Gary with us. Mrs Reinecke has been in school, whilst I have been close at hand if they have needed me.

Somethings to look out for this week

Whilst we are not together we are still busy planning things! Things to look out for this week include:
  • The next Votes for Schools information and vote - about acting this week
  • The April Newsletter (which includes a very special message from us all to you)
  • My weekly Tuesday video message
  • Greek Day for Year 3 (Thursday)
  • More challenges that require your help
  • A virtual Achivement Assembly
Please keep using #ourclockhousefamily with things that we are posting as a further way of keeping in touch. We might not be seeing each other every day but we are still one community who care for each other!

Our community - Our school - A family and a home for everyone!
Stay safe and keep smiling
Mrs Savidge
