Day 32 of the Clockhouse Family

Good evening Clockhouse

I hope you have all had a good day and have enjoyed the activities set for you to record the event we are living through. This time will go down in History and will be talked about for years to come - I have to say I have seen some truly brilliant things from our fabulous community - well done Team Clockhouse! Thank you to everyone who has sent in work and photos. The staff continue to work hard to keep up with you and answer your questions and queries. If you need anything just drop them a message and they will get back to you. Keep the photos and work coming.

I really did mean what I said in my video message when I said don't worry (I know it is easy to say), but we will be ready to meet the children where they are when they return to school. At the moment you just need to do your best and ensure your child gets what they need emotionally as well as keeping some learning and structure going along the way. Remember every child in the country is in the same boat - it will be ok! We are lucky to have an amazing staff and community at Clockhouse who are eager, ready and waiting to do what they do best and support you and your children for now remotely but hopefully, soon in person!

Well done to all of those who have already sent in messages in response to the challenge set today - they are lovely and I know you will all love hearing them when the video is complete. Keep them coming, remember you have until Friday to make the video cut!

This morning, I met with the Governors virtually for our termly Strategy Day. Although not the same as usual, it was good to be able to share with them all that is happening at Clockhouse during this time as well as all the work going on behind the scenes to continue to improve Clockhouse and make it even better when we return.

In school, the children have been busy, they completed their Google Classroom learning and have enjoyed completing some drama work as well! Team T3' have been working with the children and supporting the community. Mr Terry has worked with Nursery, Reception and Year 1. Miss Spencer with Year 2, 3 and 4 and Mrs Overton with Year 5 and 6. They have been supported by Mrs Ford, Miss Davoren and Mrs Easton. Mrs Lowe has been in the office and we also had Mr Gary with us. Mrs Reinecke has been in school today whilst I have only been a call away.

Friday
I will once again be hosting our virtual Achievement Assembly at 9.10am.
Also it is VE Day and I am sure many of you are busy planning your celebrations for the day - we are looking forward to seeing what you get up to to mark this historic event.

Please keep using #ourclockhousefamily with things that we are posting as a further way of keeping in touch. We might not be seeing each other every day but we are still one community who care for each other!

A big thank you to Romford Shopping Mall who delivered these little treats to us today for all the children who are still at school - how lovely!

Our community - Our school - A family and a home for everyone!
Stay safe and keep smiling
Mrs Savidge
