Day 35 of the Clockhouse Family

Good evening Clockhouse

I do hope you have all had a lovely Bank Holiday and have enjoyed the VE Day celebrations. It certainly looks like many of you have made the most of it looking at the pictures you have sent. Look out for our VE Day commemorative video coming your way soon!

It is hard to believe that we are at the end of Week 7 and so hard for many of us for varying different reasons. I am sure like me, you eagerly await to hear what Boris Johnson and the government have to say on Sunday and what their 'road map' will look like. As I have said previously, I know no more than you and will sit watching the briefing just like, I am sure, many of you will. What I can tell you is that should there be any announcement that affects school, the Senior Leadership Team have a meeting scheduled for 9.30 on Monday morning to discuss and plan. Please bear with us and we will communicate with you as soon as we can after this.

A big well done to you all this week, your resilience and determination does not go unnoticed and it is clear to us all what a wonderful job each and every one of you are doing. Thank you for all the thank you messages, I will be working on the video over the weekend to send to you, if you still want to send a message, please ensure it is sent by the end of the day today and at the absolute latest tomorrow.

Highlights of the Week:
All your amazing home learning and the things you have been getting up to at home and at school are a highlight of every week and can be seen in the photos below. Other highlights this week have to be:
  • The whole school staff team having our own Zoom VE Day catch up this morning. It really was lovely to see lots of familiar faces
  • The amazing work you have all done this week to record the events we are living through and to mark VE Day - you have certainly surpassed our expectations
  • Your wonderful 'Thank You' messages for our video
  • The fabulous video messages we received from India and Wales - thank you so, so much.
These are just a few, there really are so many more! What has been your highlight of the week?

Please try and make the most of the weekend and enjoy time as a family. Get some rest ready to go again on Monday.

Please keep using #ourclockhousefamily with things that you are posting as a further way of keeping in touch. We might not be seeing each other every day but we are still one community who care for each other!

If you do have any feedback for us about what we are doing and how we can improve, please do let us know.

All that leaves me to say is, thank you for your continued support and kind words at what is such a difficult time for us all and from all at Clockhouse Primary School have a great weekend at home!

Enjoy the selection of photos below!

Our community - Our school - A family and a home for everyone!
Stay safe and keep smiling
Missing you all
