Day 63 of the Clockhouse Family

Good evening Clockhouse

We hope you have all had a good day and are keeping well during this difficult time. I don't know about you but I know it feels harder and harder to keep motivated and engaged with learning and other activities, particularly as there is no certain end to it all. Please do keep going, remember each day is one day closer to more normality returning. I certainly never dreamt that this would go on so long.

Thank you to all those who have told us whether they intend to send their child in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 back to school next week. We will be spending tomorrow planning for this and will then be in a position to communicate plans with you and what this may mean for other year groups.

As it is Wednesday, Team Hawaii have been the only children in school today and we are very much looking forward to seeing some of the Year 1 and Year 6 children back to school again tomorrow. The same arrangements will apply as last week. Please do not worry if the gate is locked when you arrive, we will soon be there to let you in! This morning the teaching team had a virtual staff meeting where we talked about some exciting changes that we will be making to our curriculum next year. We are all certainly excited and we are sure the children will really enjoy the changes.

Only one more sleep until you find out classes for next year. Whilst we cannot be certain what September will look like, we can at least give you this information - exciting times ahead!

Well done to all those who have been taking part in the Virtual London Youth Games and showing the schools support for the Havering Hurricanes.

As you may have heard on the news the meal vouchers will be continuing throughout the Summer holiday for those who are eligible. If your circumstances have changed recently and you feel you may now be eligible, we can check this for you. Please call the school office and speak to Mrs Moore who will be able to help you.

Do not forget that we have our next virtual assembly on Friday. The teachers are still looking for their next Home Learning Heroes! Keep working hard team Clockhouse.

Please keep using #ourclockhousefamily with things that we are posting as a further way of keeping in touch. We might not be seeing each other every day but we are still one community who care for each other!

Our community - Our school - A family and a home for everyone!
Have a lovely evening.
Stay safe and keep smiling
Mrs Savidge
