Dear Parents / Carers
With PE being difficult in the current climate and fixtures and competitions practically non-existent we would like to introduce you to the TopYa app being used by schools across the country. TopYa is an App designed for the children to take part in virtual challenges and competitions. It enables children to score points through participation in weekly challenges.
The app will create a leader board so we can see who is participating the most in the school. In addition the Havering Sports Collective will be running a borough competition. Let us see who the most active user is at Clockhouse Primary School and hopefully see Clockhouse as the most active school in Havering! I hope the teachers don't beat the children!
Parents please create your own account,
and then create your young person's account(s). Skip the invite process and
simply tell them their username or let them use your device to submit
challenges. (They need your permission to use the app if they are younger than
13). All activity on the app is COPPA and GDPR compliant, providing a safe
online space for children to complete skill challenges, upload videos and get
thoughtful virtual coaching feedback.
To create an account please follow
these steps:
1. Download the TopYa!
Active app from the App Store or Google Play
2. Create your Parent
account
3. When prompted to
enter an Invite Code enter the unique code provided to you by your child's
school. If you have not been given a code, enter 23880 to join as a general
SGAC user and then choose Primary or Secondary School League based on which
type of school your child attends.
4. Then create your
kid(s) account(s)
5. Let them work on the
activities on their own device or film and upload videos from your device on
their behalf!
