Day 64 of the Clockhouse family

Good evening Clockhouse

Firstly apologies for the lateness of this message. We have been busy planning the return of more children and making sure that everything is in place. We will be pleased to see more of Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 back next week. Thank you to everyone for responding to our questionnaire.

Well done to everyone who has worked hard in school today or been busy with our virtual school. I hope that you were all pleased with your child's new teacher and enjoyed sharing the letters and video with them. It is a difficult time for us all but will do all we can to make this transition as smooth as possible.

As we come to the end of another week, I think it is important to reflect on how far together we have come and how much we have all had to adapt. We have made great strides to completely change the educational landscape that we have all ever known and we have certainly made positive strides but also mistakes along the way. Your feedback is always gratefully received so that we can make changes and adapt as we go. We are certainly learning together, doing our best and trying to adapt quickly.

Moving forward, a questionnaire will be coming out tomorrow for Year 2, 3, 4 and 5 to gage your interest in sending your children back for some face to face contact prior to the summer holiday. Please understand that I am not promising anything but I do need to know what you are thinking about this so that we can begin to look at whether this is possible whilst obviously keeping the health and safety of  all at the forefront.

Remember to look out for our virtual Achievement Assembly tomorrow morning just after 9.00am, where I will be announcing this week's Home Learning Heroes. Remember also to look out for Hot Chocolate with the Head at 2.30pm tomorrow. I hope you have enjoyed story time with Miss Jones and Mr Terry this week also.

Please keep using #ourclockhousefamily with things that we are posting as a further way of keeping in touch. We might not be seeing each other every day but we are still one community who care for each other!

Keep going Team Clockhouse, we will be together again one day. But in the meantime please know how exceptionally proud of you we all are and how much we truly miss you!

Did any of you see the red arrows fly over earlier?

Our community - Our school - A family and a home for everyone!
Stay positive everyone, keep going!
Stay safe and keep smiling
Mrs Savidge
