Day 68 of the Clockhouse Family

Good evening Clockhouse

We hope you have all had a good day and are managing to get out to enjoy this lovely weather - long may it continue.

Today has been a busy day. This morning the Middle Leadership Team met and we spoke about what the last three weeks of school will look like. We have noticed quite a drop off in Google Classroom work and work on Dojo so for the last three weeks are going to change things for two reasons. Firstly to try to re-engage the children but also to support them and you with the transition from one year group to the next. We do know it is hard but it would be lovely to see everyone engaging. This does mean that next week the home learning will look different but we will communicate this with you so please do not worry. We also have a number of other things coming your way before the end of term so watch this space!

We have been busy planning for the wider re-opening of the school and hope to give you more information about this by the end of tomorrow. What I can tell you is that all those who have requested coming back will get some face-to-face time before the Summer Holiday. This will be two days a week until Friday 17th July when school will close to all with the exception of Key Workers. The school will officially close on Wednesday 22nd July.

As it is Wednesday, Team Hawaii have been the only children in school today and we are very much looking forward to seeing some of the Year 1 and Year 6 children at school again tomorrow it will be lovely to see those who have already been back but also to see other children return. We also look forward to welcoming back more children from Nursery and Reception. The same arrangements will apply. Please do not worry if the gate is locked when you arrive, we will soon be there to let you in!

Do not forget that we have our next virtual assembly on Friday. The teachers are still looking for their next Home Learning Heroes! Keep working hard team Clockhouse.

Please keep using #ourclockhousefamily with things that we are posting as a further way of keeping in touch. We might not be seeing each other every day but we are still one community who care for each other!

Our community - Our school - A family and a home for everyone!
Have a lovely evening.
Stay safe and keep smiling
Mrs Savidge
